Shift: 11a-7:30pm Tuesday-Saturday

Summary:
Provides recovery support to patients and employees of The MetroHealth System (MHS)'s Office of Opioid Safety (OOS), OOS-related programs (including the Medically Assisted Treatment (MAT) programs in the Cuyahoga County Correctional Facility and MHS's Emergency Department), and other addiction recovery-affiliated programs within MHS and/or the community. Coordinates care with the multi-disciplinary team to offer an array of trauma-informed recovery services. Performs patient needs assessments, clinical triage, and treatment planning. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
Qualifications:
Required: Associates Degree in Social Sciences or a related field from an accredited institution, OR any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in addition to the experience stated below. Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant (CDCA) for the State of Ohio from the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board (OCDP). Certified Ohio Peer Recovery Supporter. 2 years of experience working with individuals with substance use disorders in the social services or a related field. Experience working in healthcare and/or correctional institutions. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to interact effectively with a variety of constituencies. Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences or a related field from an accredited institution. Certified Ohio Peer Recovery Supporter with Supervisor training. Experience working with multi-disciplinary groups. Physical Requirements: May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day. May need to sit or stand for extended periods. See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required. May need to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion. Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications. Ability to see computer monitor and departmental documents.
