Position Overview:

The Department Exercise and Rehabilitation invites applications for an adjunct faculty member to teach at the undergraduate level. All applicants must be available to teach in person. Classes begin Monday, August 26, 2024 with finals ending December 13, 2024.

Adjunct instructors are needed for the following integrated lecture/lab-based courses in the Fall 2024 semester:

Undergraduate Level Exercise Physiology I Tuesday/Thursday 10 to 11:50 am


Position Summary
This is a required course for all Exercise Science majors. The course is the first of two sequenced Exercise Physiology courses focusing on a detailed examination of cardiovascular, respiratory and metabolic physiology, responses to acute exercise, and exercise training adaptations. Laboratory will emphasize exercise testing procedures and techniques as well as research principles.

Qualifications:

Interested applicants should hold a master’s degree in Exercise Physiology or related area, Ph.D. preferred. College teaching experience is preferred, although related work experience may be considered. Strong verbal/written communication skills are essential. Additionally, the ability to foster an environment that values diversity, equity and inclusion is expected of all Merrimack community members.
