**GENERAL DUTIES**
Performs highly-skilled laboratory functions and other technical duties in support of coursework.
- Sets up, maintains, and organizes student laboratories
- Assists students with setting up experiments and other learning exercises, and with the use of equipment and materials
- Maintains appropriate safety and hygiene standards
- Maintains required documentation related to laboratory activities
- Manages equipment and materials inventories.

**CAMPUS SPECIFIC INFORMATION**
Working with the Program Director and HEA Kitchen Manager, the Adjunct College Laboratory Technician will assist with routine operations, problem resolution, and other assigned tasks related to the support of faculty and students in the pedagogical application of cooking and baking technology in classes in the Culinary Arts and Food and Beverage disciplines within the Department of Tourism and Hospitality. Kingsborough Community College is located in Manhattan Beach, Brooklyn, adjacent to Sheepshead Bay with a diverse student population who attend day, evening and weekend classes.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
High School Diploma with a minimum of four years related experience. Additional education may be used to meet the experience requirement: an Associate degree may be substituted for two years experience, and a Bachelor's degree may be substituted for four years experience.
**OTHER QUALIFICATIONS**
Preferred Qualifications:
National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation for ServSafe Food Safety and NYC DOH Foodhandlers
Minimum of eight years of experience in food service purchasing, restaurant or catering management
Good interpersonal, communications, presentation, organizational and technical skillls
Fluency in all Microsoft Office applications
American Culinary Federation (ACF) certification - CCE, CEC, CMC, CPC, CCA
A strong understanding of food and beverage products with the abiltiy to weight and measure accurately
Bachelor's degree.
**COMPENSATION**
$31.22 - $32.44 per hour.
Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications,
