Job Summary
Teach various automotive classes in our Grayslake Campus.
Required Qualification(s)
+ High School diploma or equivalent plus five (5) or more years (10,000 hours) of recent experience as a journeyman level technician (or higher), ASE Certified Master Automotive Technician, ASE Advanced Engine Performance Specialist Certification (L1)
OR
+ Associate’s degree or higher in Automotive Technology in related field, plus 4000 hours of recent experience as a journeyman level technician (or higher), ASE L3 Certification and transmission repair and diagnostic experience.
Desired Qualification(s)
+ Bachelor’s degree or higher in Automotive Technology
+ Demonstrated professional learning or certification in evidence-based student-focused pedagogical teaching and assessment practice such as ACUE , workshops and data use
+ Bilingual in Spanish and English

This posting will be used to obtain a pool of qualified candidates. As teaching needs arise, applications will be reviewed for possible interviews. The number of adjunct faculty hired varies from semester to semester, depending upon the needs of the department. Adjunct faculty hires and assignments are coordinated by the department chairs.
