Position Title Adjunct Faculty Social Services Future Opportunities Department Human Services Department Position Category Adjunct About CCRI Job Summary CCRIs Department of Human Services invites applicants for future adjunct positions This posting is not for an immediate vacancy but for upcoming opportunities By applying you will be placed in a pool of candidates who will be reviewed when a suitable position becomes availableThe Human Services program prepares students for entry level positions in various educational and social service professions and transfers to bachelors degree programs at institutions of higher education nationwide The purpose of the CCRI Department of Human Services is to teach students to function as competent ethical Human Services practitioners and educators prepared to fill a variety of entry level positions in a diverse society well equipped to pursue a Baccalaureate degree in their chosen profession SUBJECTS Introduction to Interpersonal Violence Social Work Program and Policy Analysis Introduction to Social Work and Social Welfare Duties and Responsibilities To teach entry level courses in the Social WorkSocial Services concentration of the Human Services Department Design and deliver curriculum for the Associate Degree Programs and the Social Services Case Management Aging and Older Adults and Mental Health amp Wellness Certificate Programs using multiple instructional modalities including online hybrid and lecture Must possess strong communication organizational and interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to working with students and colleagues Commitment to CCRIs Mission Demonstrate a commitment to the philosophy and mission of a comprehensive community college Work collaboratively with others in a diverse and inclusive environment Work collaboratively in a diverse inclusive and student centered environment with students of various learning styles cultures identities and life experiences Instructional Skills Plan develop present and modify courses from proposal to syllabus to delivery classroom hybrid or online to assessment to evaluation Teach assigned courses Convey knowledge and skills effectively to students Continue professional development as an educator Use advanced technologies to expand student resources and learning opportunities Assess student learning according to best practices in measurement of student performance objectives and outcomes Demonstrate creativity and flexibility in pedagogical approaches to a diverse population of students and peers Minimum Requirements Bachelors degree in a related field Master of Social Work MSW degree College level teaching experience Competencies Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker LICSW in RI Reports To Department Chair Campus Location Multi Campus Locations Full timePart time Part Time Shift Days and Additional Work Schedule Information Work Schedule One Semester Benefits SalaryHourly Rate Additional Salary Information Licenses Tools and Equipment Environmental Conditions Desired Start Date Position End Date if temporary or grant
