Hours Part-time, include requirement and total hours per week - as needed, not to exceed 19.5 hours per week
Summary of Position
Adjunct Instructor to teach HUMA 1315/Fine Arts Appreciation on Central Texas College’s main campus in Killeen, TX and/or the Early College High School campus.
Minimum Required Education
Master’s degree from a nationally, regionally, or identified at the state level accredited institution of higher education including 18 graduate hours in the subject area to be taught.
Minimum Required Experience
Knowledge of all areas of fine arts including drama, music, and visual art preferred. Previous teaching experience preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Candidate should be prepared to:
+ Instruct students in HUMA 1315/Fine Arts Appreciation, giving emphasis to drama, music, and visual arts
+ Provide instruction in accordance with College policies and practices.
+ Prepare course materials according to accreditation and best practices in collaboration with Fine Arts faculty.
+ Utilize multiple strategies to facilitate learning while creating effective student assessment. Create an inclusive and respectful learning environment for students.
+ Produce timely course materials including utilizing the course master syllabus and creating a schedule according to College and Department practices.
+ Complete required reporting processes such as entering grades, maintain confidentiality procedures and accurate course records.
+ Respond to student and College communication in a timely manner.
