Job Title Adjunct Faculty in Chemistry (Summer) Agency Texas A&M University - San Antonio Department Department of Natural Sciences Proposed Minimum Salary Commensurate Job Location San Antonio, Texas Job Type Faculty Job Description The Department of Natural Sciences, in the College of Arts and Sciences, seeks applications from qualified candidates for a part-time non-tenure track position in Chemistry. We seek qualified instructors to teach face-to-face lecture and laboratory courses during the summer months with potential to teach in the Fall as well. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining a safe environment for instruction and learning in a laboratory setting. Salary: + 3-hour lecture courses/$3,000 + 3-hour laboratory courses/$2,000 Required Education and Experience: + Master’s degree in Chemistry or a related field, from a regionally accredited institution. + Must have 18 graduate credit hours in related area. Preferred Education and Experience: + Experience teaching at the college level. + Experience working with all students from different backgrounds and settings. + Completed Ph.D. in Chemistry or related field. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: + Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others. + Strong self-discipline and ability to work independently. + Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills. We cannot accept transcripts issued directly to the candidate. If transcripts are from an international institution, it is the responsibility of the prospective faculty member to have the transcripts translated and evaluated by an approved credential evaluator.
