Job Title Adjunct Faculty in Composition Agency Texas A&M University - San Antonio Department Department of Language, Literature, and Arts Proposed Minimum Salary Commensurate Job Location San Antonio, Texas Job Type Faculty Job Description The Department of Language, Literature, and Arts seeks part-time faculty for the Fall 2025 semester. Successful candidates will teach undergraduate courses in English Composition and/or Technical Writing based on academic qualifications. The number of available courses and positions will depend on departmental need. Salary: $3,000/course Required Education and Experience: + Master’s Degree in English, or a related field, from a regionally accredited institution. + A minimum of 18 graduate hours in English or related field. Preferred Education and Experience: + A minimum of one year college or university teaching experience. + Experience teaching composition and/or technical writing. + Experience teaching non-traditional, first-generation students. + Experience with contemporary instructional technologies such as e-portfolios. + Ph.D. in English or related field preferred. We cannot accept transcripts issued directly to the candidate. If transcripts are from an international institution, it is the responsibility of the prospective faculty member to have the transcripts translated and evaluated by an approved credential evaluator (e.g., AACRAO; http://www.aacrao.org/credential/index.htm).
