Job Description
The Department of History, Philosophy, and Geography is looking for p art-time faculty at Texas A&M University-San Antonio for the Fall 2025 semester. A successful candidate will teach one upper-level course on “Modern Europe Since 1914.” This teaching assignment will be an online asynchronous format.
Salary : $3,000/course
Required Education and Experience:
+ Master’s degree in History, or a related field, from a regionally accredited institution.
+ 18 completed graduate course hours in European History, or a related field.
+ Experience with teaching undergraduate History classes.
Preferred Education and Experience:
+ Experience teaching online courses.
+ Experience working with non-traditional, first-generation students.
+ Completed Ph.D. in History.

Prior to issuing a letter of appointment, official transcripts must be received directly from each degree-granting institution by the Office of Academic Affairs, A&M-SA, One University Way, San Antonio, Texas 78224. We cannot accept transcripts issued directly to the candidate. If transcripts are from an international institution, it is the responsibility of the prospective faculty member to have the transcripts translated and evaluated by an approved credential evaluator.
The selected candidates must pass a pre-employment background investigation to be hired for this position.
