Job Description
Part-time faculty on the SAN ANTONIO campus. The successful candidate will teach lower-division undergraduate courses in Elementary and Intermediate Spanish as a Heritage Language (based on academic qualifications). Applicants will be contacted according to departmental needs. Teaching assignments may include day or night classes.
Salary: $3000/course.
Required Education and Experience:
+ Master's degree in Spanish or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution.
+ 18 graduate hours in Spanish.
+ Teaching Spanish as a Heritage Language experience preferred.
+ College or University teaching experience preferred.
+ Experience with first-generation students preferred.
+ Familiarity with non-traditional commuter University setting preferred.
+ Experience in culturally diverse settings preferred.
+ Completed Ph.D. in Spanish preferred

We cannot accept transcripts issued directly to the candidate. If transcripts are from an international institution, it is the responsibility of the prospective faculty member to have the transcripts translated and evaluated by an approved credential evaluator (e.g., AACRAO; http://www.aacrao.org/credential/index.htm).
