Actively participates in setting annual division goals and objectives, completing OIR reporting forms, collecting data, analyzing data, and preparing a report using guidelines established by OIR. SUMMARY DESCRIPTION Responsible for completing clinical orientation, making clinical assignments, and supervising and evaluating students on the clinical area. Accountable for completing student paperwork in a timely manner and meeting with and guiding students to achieve course clinical outcomes. Responsible for regularly cooperating with and interacting with the course coordinator. Overall supervision and evaluation of students on a medical surgical clinical area. Specific Duties and Responsibilities + Supports the mission and goals of the college + Complies with accreditation policies and procedures as applicable + Meets with course coordinator for orientation to the course and periodically throughout the semester to update her on student performance + Meets with clinical facility personnel for clinical orientation + Completes student clinical assignments + Conducts pre and post clinical conferences + Supervises students on the clinical area + Completes student paperwork and clinical evaluations + Promotes positive interpersonal relationships with all persons associated with the Nursing Program Required Documents: ***A resume and cover letter are required to complete the application process*** + Official transcripts required upon hire + Employment is contingent upon Criminal Background Check. ***This posting will be used to obtain a pool of qualified candidates for this position. Minimum Qualifications EDUCATION REQUIRED Master's degree in nursing awarded by an institution that is accredited by a regional or national accrediting body. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED One year of clinical supervision of nursing students preferred.Two years of recent teaching or clinical practice experience in specialty area Additional Information SKILLS/ABILITIES/KNOWLEDGE/OTHER REQUIREMENTS: + Ability to plan, strategize, and coordinate effectively + Competent in communication and leadership skills + Proficient in Microsoft Office applications + Ability to multi-task while adhering to deadlines + Current, valid license as a registered nurse in the state of New Jersey required + Certification in area of clinical responsibility preferred + Accountable, dependable, and trustworthy Technology Tools, Blackboard LMS, and Webex Videoconferencing In order to enable Adjunct Faculty to be effective and to meet the requirements associated with relevant teaching conditions , RCBC has outlined 1) appropriate Technology Tools, 2) a minimum level of proficiency with the Blackboard Learning Management System (LMS) and remote delivery, and 3) Webex Videoconferencing resources. 1) Technology Tools Adjunct Faculty should have access to a computer less than 6 years old and equipped with a webcam and microphone, as well as reliable high-speed internet service. 2) Blackboard LMS Adjunct Faculty must participate in Blackboard training with a verified level of proficiency in the following two self-paced courses A) ‘Getting Started with Blackboard Learn’ and B) ‘Learn Teaching Essentials for Original’. 3) Webex Videoconferencing Webex is RCBC’s accepted videoconferencing platform and allows for real-time instructor-student interactions and breakout sessions, for example. RCBC has created two interactive workshops, a maximum of one-and-a-half hours long, to address topics of interest to both beginner and advanced users.
