POSITION: Adjunct Faculty - Music
RESPONSIBILITIES: Teach music coursework in one of the following areas: Music Theory and Ear-Training, Music History/Appreciation, Class Piano, Music Education, Student Teacher Supervision.
QUALIFICATIONS: Doctorate in music preferred; Master’s degree with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in the field of music from a regionally accredited institution or university required. Strong teaching ability in one of the music teaching areas listed above.
RANK AND SALARY: Adjunct, Part-time with opportunity for full time if the need exists; Non-Tenure track. Salary commensurate with teaching load assigned.

GENERAL INFORMATION: Texas A&M University-Kingsville is a predominantly Hispanic- serving, state-assisted institution with an enrollment of about 6,500 students. The School of Music (SOM), an accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Music, enrolls about 260 undergraduate and 25 graduate music majors, with 24 full-time and 16 part-time faculty. The SOM is housed in a brand new, 100,000 sq ft music facility, featuring four dedicated rehearsal halls, concert hall, recital hall, recording studio, and designed as the showcase building for the entrance to the campus. The SOM offers the following degrees: Bachelor of Music in Performance, Bachelor of Music with Teacher Certification, Master of Music in Music Education, Master of Music in Performance, and Master of Music in Conducting.
