Position Information Position Title Adjunct Faculty - Visual Arts - Life Drawing FLSA Exempt Full Time/Part Time Part Time Department Fine Arts Campus Central Campus Location Central Campus Salary Per Adj Pay Scale Hours Part-time, include requirement and total hours per week - as needed, not to exceed 19.5 hours per week Summary of Position CTC is seeking an adjunct instructor to teach Life Drawing, a studio art course that introduces the analytic study of the human form and the figure’s potential for compositional and expressive use in drawing. This is a face-to-face class taught at Central Texas College’s campus in Killeen, TX on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00am-11:30am. Minimum Required Education Candidate must possess an MFA in Visual Art from a nationally, regionally, or identified at the state level accredited institution of higher education including 18 graduate hours in Visual Art. Minimum Required Experience Previous teaching experience required Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Candidate should be prepared to: + Provide instruction in accordance with College policies and practices. + Prepare course materials according to accreditation and best practices in collaboration with Fine Arts faculty. + Utilize multiple strategies to facilitate learning while creating effective student assessment. Create an inclusive and respectful learning environment for students. + Produce timely course materials including utilizing the course master syllabus and creating a schedule according to College and Department practices. + Complete required reporting processes such as entering grades, maintain confidentiality procedures and accurate course records. + Respond to student and College communication in a timely manner.
