This role includes evaluating student performance, ensuring safe clinical practice, and using program-approved educational platforms to assess learning. The faculty member supports student growth through timely feedback, contributes to an inclusive learning environment, and participates in required training and meetings while upholding the mission and values of the University. **Primary Responsibilities:** + Serve as clinical instructor in medical-surgical or psychiatric-mental health clinical settings + Instruct face-to-face in medical-surgical or psychiatric-mental health courses, depending on applicant qualifications + Assess student learning through written assessments, case studies, assignments, and exams utilizing program specified educational platforms + Supervise, instruct, and evaluate students in clinical settings to ensure safe and effective practice + Offer constructive, timely feedback to support student learning and professional growth + Participate in required orientations, training, and adjunct faculty meetings + Perform other duties as assigned in support of the University's _Mission_ **Position Skills and Abilities:** + Adapt to changes in the educational landscape, such as new technologies and educational standards + Ability to foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive learning environment + Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for medical education + Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with faculty, staff, and clinical partners + Maintain professional and collegial behavior **Minimum Qualifications:** + BSN required; MSN preferred + Current unencumbered Iowa Nursing license + Experience teaching, precepting, or mentoring students in a clinical or academic setting + Knowledge of, and commitment to, the university's philosophy, mission and core values This position is part of an ongoing talent pool.
