These sections meet in person and are scheduled to meet during the day.
Required Qualifications: Responsibilities
· Provide quality instruction* for undergraduate STEM students· Evaluate student progress and provide appropriate feedback in a timely manner· Hold regular office hours· Track student attendance· Submit attendance verification, midterm grades and final grades online· Reply to emails from students, lab coordinators, and administrators in a timely manner· Commit to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment· Follow established teaching protocols within the physics program
*Quality instruction includes, but is not limited to, arriving on time and prepared to engage students through evidence-based active learning pedagogies, and/or assisting students with data collection and analysis via thoughtful guidance and encouragement.
Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check. Candidates for hire will be required to sign a waiver authorizing the background check and produce a Social Security Card.
Qualifications
A minimum of a master’s degree (or equivalent) in Physics or a closely related field is required. Preference will be given to applicants with previous teaching experience and strong recommendations from references.
