Great Place to Work® Most Loved Workplace® Forbes Best-in-State Employer Adjuster/Appraiser - Heavy Equipment (Remote) As a Heavy Equipment Adjuster at Sedgwick, you’ll have the opportunity to take on new challenges and help solve complex problems. + Enjoy flexibility and autonomy in your daily work and your career path. **This is a remote role within the Southwestern US market with travel required.** + Be a part of a rapidly growing, industry-leading global company known for its excellence and customer service. + Leverage Sedgwick’s broad, global network of experts to both learn from and to share your insights. + Access diverse and comprehensive benefits to take care of your mental, physical, financial and professional needs. **PRIMARY PURPOSE:** To inspect, identify, and evaluate heavy equipment and machinery involved in a loss. **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES** + Appraises and determines costs of repairs to damaged equipment. + Evaluates and determines if the unit of equipment is repairable or salvageable. + Identifies potential subrogation issues. + Prepares written analyses and reports. **ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES** + Performs other duties as assigned. + Supports the organization's quality program(s). + Travels as required. **QUALIFICATIONS** **Education & Licensing** High school diploma or GED required. Licenses as required. **Experience** Three (3) years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required to include at least one (1) year of heavy equipment experience. **Skills & Knowledge** + Thorough knowledge of operating heavy equipment + Ability to understand and utilize appraisal software + Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills + PC literate, including proficiency in Microsoft Office products + Analytical and interpretive skills + Ability to work independently or in a team environment + Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies **WORK ENVIRONMENT** When applicable and appropriate, consideration will be given to reasonable accommodations. **Mental:** Clear and conceptual thinking ability; excellent judgment and discretion; ability to handle work-related stress; ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously; and ability to meet deadlines **Physical** : + Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time. + Must be able to kneel, squat or bend. + Must be able to work outdoors in hot and/or cold weather conditions. + Have the ability to climb, crawl, stoop, kneel, reaching/working overhead, + Be able lift/carry up to 50 pounds + Be able to push/pull up to 100 pounds. + Be able to drive up to 4 hours per day. **Auditory/Visual:** Hearing, vision and talking As required by law, Sedgwick provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in jurisdictions requiring pay transparency in job postings. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and cost of specific location. For the jurisdiction noted in this job posting only, the range of starting pay for this role is _$80,000.00 to $120,000.00 USD annual salary. Bonus eligible role_ .
