An entry level position, this job will provide students with exposure to four different units; Desktop TPA, Field Adjusting, Business Analytics, and the Dispatch and HUB Unit. This rotational assignment will provide valuable exposure to the different lines of business within Sedgwick Canada Inc.
Desktop TPA Adjusting
Conducts thorough and timely investigations and settlements of lower complexity claims with respect to liability, property and auto claims, securing verbal or written statements from the insured, witnesses, and claimants; taking photographs and/or diagramming the loss site; specifying damage, construction, occupancy and condition; securing official reports; performing witness activity checks; and securing medical wage authorization and follow up with medical providers for verification when needed.Employs discretion and independent judgment to ensure compliance with state and federal law, and with established company, technical, and customer service best practices.Communicates and interacts with a variety of individuals and businesses including insureds and claimants, body shops, contractors and vendors.Conducts phone and/or field investigations to determine liability coverage and damages.Prepare billing forms for further processing by support staff.Adheres to company policies and procedures while conducting company assignments.Other duties as assigned.Dispatch and HUB Unit
Monitor incoming claims, verify information in client system and provide coverage forms to adjusters.Create new file in third party client systems and send fax confirmation notification to required parties.Create initial reserve, change or close reserve and file as required for the third-party system.Monitor and update client system with required file notes and status update, process cheques on client system, review cheque status or cancellation and provide update as required.Create or save document in appropriate file (incoming or outgoing communication).Process estimate request, update and closure request on client system (multiline).Review and complete daily reports.Send notification to client and communicate with adjuster as required.Respond to internal or external inquiries.SUPERVISION/REPORTING (Received/Exercised)
Duties are carried out under the supervision from the VP Corporate Services and/or the Regional Managers.JOB REQUIREMENTS
