Job SummaryWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented project coordinator to join our interdisciplinary research team working on a large cohort study, the National Survey of American Life (NSAL). The NSAL is the only nationally-representative survey of mental health of Black Americans (n~6,000) that has ever been conducted, and researchers at the University of Michigan recently received funding to conduct a 25-year follow-up of this sample to examine risk and protective factors for cognitive aging. The project is being led by Drs. Briana Mezuk and Toni Antonucci at the University of Michigan Institute for Social Research, and is being supported by a diverse team of investigators from a variety of disciplines.
This position is a one-year term-limited position, with extension and renewal based on the availability of concomitant sponsor funding and satisfactory work performance.
Responsibilities*Serve as administrative coordinator for a large, interdisciplinary research team. Work closely with the Project Director, MPIs, vendors, and multiple externally-based co-investigators to support all aspects of project logistics, including scheduling team meetings, managing IRB submissions and related human subjects research protocols, monitoring project activities (e.g., coordination with survey research operations, fieldwork vendors, and core laboratories), creating weekly progress reports, and supporting the crafting of progress reports to NIH. This role requires someone who is highly organized, adaptable, able to work independently, able to problem-solve issues as they arise, and is able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with a diverse range of stakeholders and partners.
