Brook Street (UK) Ltd are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity with our leading Public Sector client the Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency, to join their busy Customer Service Centre Team.

We are recruiting Customer Service Centre Telephony Agents who will be based at DVSA, The Ellipse, Swansea.

The purpose of the role is to provide quality support, advice and guidance service to both internal and external customers contributing to the improvement of road safety, environmental standards and the reduction of vehicle crime.

Your main duties will be to:

Handle inbound customer contact consisting of telephone calls and e-mail correspondenceDeliver a consistent and productive service to both internal and external customers.Support the promotion of DVSA's digital servicesUse judgement to action DVSA/customer requirements in line with current procedures and practicesEnsure all administrative work is completed and recorded accuratelyUse information resources to support customer serviceKeep up to date with current procedures and practicesWork effectively as part of a team, participate in team meetings and contribute towards staff engagement planPromoting and respecting team working ethics by building good working relationships using co-operation and discussionExecute own responsibilities effectively and in line with DVSA policies and processes, ensuring that daily tasks and activities are delivered against agreed objectives.Act with honesty and integrity upholding the reputation of the Agency, Department and Civil Service.Where necessary work in collaboration with colleagues across all functions for the good of DVSA and to create a high performing and well-respected Agency.Liaise with relevant internal departments to ensure customer needs are metEnsure good relations and communications with all members of the team and responding politely and in a timely fashion to internal and external customersSupport the department by contribution towards the staff engagement plan.

As the successful Candidate you will have:

Good written and communication skillsAbility to handle challenging enquiriesBasic computer literacy skills e.g. keyboard, word processing skills and Microsoft applicationsPrioritise workloads to aid productivityManage time effectivelyMust be willing to work flexibly around the needs of DVSA to provide cover to all customer groups.100% office attendance is required at the office location during the training periodHave the equivalent of five GCSEs at grade C or above and at least one-year administrative experience in an office environment.Be a good Team player with the ability to work on one's own initiative.

The hours of work will be between 8am and 6pm on a shift rotation Monday to Friday and the rate of pay is £12.36 per hour on a full-time basis.
