Job Description

Our client HM Courts & Tribunals Service (HMCTS) is an agency of the Ministry of Justice. HMCTS provides administrative support for the legal system across England and Wales, ensuring justice works for everyone.

Our public sector client based in Birmingham is recruiting 10 Admin Officers to join their team. This is currently a temporary role until 31/03/2025 - there may be a chance of an extension, but this will be down to business need. This is a full-time role, 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday. There will be flexible working between 7am - 7pm but 37 hours for the week must be completed. Start times are between 7am - 10am and finish times are between 3pm-7pm. The pay rate for this role starts at £11.59 and will increase to £11.88 on week 12. Payment is on a weekly basis.

This role is based fully onsite due to the nature of work. The office is located in B16 8PE.

This role will be to support with the administrative tasks that come alongside the tribunals. Your day-to-day duties will include:

Reviewing correspondence from parties to proceedingsDeciding whether standard process is applied or referring to legal officers/JudiciaryPreparing papers and files for TribunalProducing documentsCreating and updating in house computer systemsMonitoring email inbox - sifting, linking and delivering to relevant team/personUse of internal case management systemsAd Hoc tasks - photocopying, scanning, filing

The ideal candidate will have 12 - 18 months of admin experience. Fantastic customer service skills are also required.
