Temple University's Center for Performing & Cinematic Arts is searching for an Administrative and Recital Operations Manager.

Job Summary\:

The Administrative and Recital Operations Manager is responsible for academic degree and non-degree performance operations for the Boyer College of Music and Dance. Oversees all music recital operations, tracking of student preparation materials, management of adjudication process for degree recitals, and publishing programs. Instructs the recital attendance (MUSC 1000) course. Hires, trains and oversees a team of 15-20 student performance staff (recital monitors) to ensure quality performance support. Hires, trains and oversees a team of 5-10 student workers to support Rock Hall. Supports marketing and communication efforts by creating marketing emails, maintaining online calendars, supporting social media initiatives, updating college website. Manages the booking of all classrooms and studios in Rock Hall, working with faculty, staff and students to determine suitable spaces for intended use. Collaborates with building maintenance staff to sustain condition and functioning of facilities. Manages Dean’s office suite, which includes general office support, reception functions, guest outreach, assistance in processing of event fees or project income as well as related correspondence, special event support for awards ceremonies, graduation and other college events as needed.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience\:

At least two years of program or administrative support experience in an arts/music related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required Skills & Abilities\:

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google applications, and student information systems. Ability to supervise and develop student staff. Ability to work independently with limited supervision. Strong verbal and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to effectively interact with a diverse group of administrators, faculty, staff and students. Strong organization, coordination and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to be detail oriented and multi-task efficiently. Demonstrated ability to maintain and protect confidential information/data. Ability to work an occasional evening and weekend hours, as required.

 

Preferred

Background in music and/or dance. Familiarity with musical vocabulary and repertoire. Experience using Canvas or similar learning management system. Experience using MailChimp, Constant Contact or similar emailing platform.
