Administrative and Support IVOverview:
The Administrative and Support Personnel will serve as ICE Vetted Units Assistant supporting the U.S. Department of State (DOS) Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs' (INL) on the Central America Regional Security Initiative (CARSI)
This position is contingent upon contract award.
Primary Responsibilities: Provide general office administrative and clerical services. Maintains, and organizes hard copy and electronic files for all Program correspondence for improved retrieval, access, and audit. Prepares a variety of correspondence, reports, and presentations in both English and Spanish from drafts. Assists with supplies purchases, payments, and other general business responsibilities. Maintain project documentation and correspondence. Assists to coordinate commercial products and contracted service providers. Provides assistance, continuity, and redundancy in project execution, coordination, and milestone tracking. Files, records, searches and assembles materials for use in preparing reports. Maintains, reviews, and updates files. Edits English and Spanish documents. Prepares Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, Access databases, and PowerPoint presentations. Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree. Five (5) years of administrative experience in a professional setting Previous government, law enforcement or project management experience preferred. Demonstrated experience in drafting and authoring weekly, monthly and quarterly reports. Experience briefing in Spanish and English. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Proficiency in Spanish and English. Use of correct spelling, grammar, capitalization and punctuation. Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well with others. Ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish; Proficient with Microsoft Suite of products including, Word, Excel, Access and E-mail business software. Ability to learn new software, as required. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:Language – Foreign Service Institute (FSI) level 4/4 Spanish, English level 3/3.
Security Clearance:MRPT Level Required
Must be able to successfully complete a U.S. government administered investigation for an MRPT (Moderate Risk Public Trust). U.S. Citizenship is required. Must be able to maintain MRPT eligibility. If Third Country National or Local National, must be able to successfully complete a background check through the RSO/U.S. Embassy (Regional Security Office) Physical Demands:Must be able to physically and medically perform in Guatemala and in challenging environments. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to be able to occasionally stand; walk; sit; use hands and/or fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; operate office equipment, reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 25 pounds.
