Job SummaryThe Administrative Assistant will support the school's finance team with the daily administration of activities. The incumbent will perform responsibilities of a sensitive and confidential nature that require discretion and independent judgment and decision-making skills. In addition, this position will support the supervisor, the SoK Financial Administration and Internal Controls Manager. The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering a high level of service to all employee and visiting populations, including faculty, staff, students, lecturers, GSAs, temporary employees, guests, and visiting scholars. Travel reimbursements/Chrome River
Submit expenses on PCard through Chrome River as needed Support/train new all faculty, research staff and general fund staff on Chrome River expense program in Wolverine AccessAssist faculty and staff with issues in the Chrome River program; act as a delegate for Chrome River expense reports for finance team as neededGuest travel arrangements/events
Prepare travel arrangements/events and reimbursements for individuals who are not in the Chrome River systemSupport all students and guests with travel reimbursements through the shared services centerPurchasing
Purchase office supplies for ADMIN suite through Marketsite by creating purchase orders thru MPathways Purchase kitchen compostable supplies for the entire buildingMeeting arrangements
Set up a variety of meetings including internal controls, budget, training, year end close and upload, monthly team meetings, etc. Required Qualifications*2+ years of related administrative support experienceBachelor's degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experienceHigh level of proficiency with technology and software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Google Workspace, Adobe Acrobat, Zoom)Proven success with contributing to a positive workplace culture, and ability to consistently demonstrate our school's core valuesWork LocationsThis is a full-time position with work taking place on-site at the School of Kinesiology, 830 N.
