Administrative Assistant – BHLS Maintenance

We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to work in our United Helpers Behavioral Health and Life Skills Maintenance Department in Ogdensburg.

Responsibilities include managing the director’s schedule, including meetings, appointments, and travel. You’ll handle communications, edit documents, and maintain filing systems. Acting as a liaison, you’ll coordinate between the director, staff, contractors, and vendors.
Other responsibilities include coordinating maintenance schedules, tracking inventory, assisting with budgets, and ensuring stakeholders are informed. You’ll prepare for departmental meetings, addressing maintenance inquiries, and ensuring timely service responses.
Additionally, you’ll manage maintenance projects, ensure compliance with safety regulations, maintain safety records, use software to track tasks, and perform general office duties.

Qualifications include advanced computer skills, particularly with databases and Microsoft programs for producing high-quality communications. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential, along with the ability to independently manage multiple tasks using good judgment, discretion, and confidentiality. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary for interacting regularly with Board members, management, volunteers, employees, and the community.

Salary for this position ranges from $16.46 to $18.11 per hour,
based on experience.
