Administrative Assistant – Global Economics and US Credit Research Team
About the Role: Grade Level (for internal use): U18 Responsibilities and Impact: We are looking for a proactive, highly organized, and self-driven individual, willing to work across a number of complex tasks supporting a high energy team, delivering quality product in a real time environment. Perfectionist tendencies (including editing), love of stretch assignments and willingness to learn are a plus. Success attributes included strong project/program management skills, detail and process orientated, problem solver, and a team player. Key member of a small, multi-tasking, high-profile, high-performance global team. The main output of this position is to ensure smooth operations, high-quality and timely reporting, efficient logistics and workflow. The specific responsibilities will be to: Provide administrative support to the global, US and Emerging Markets (EM) chief economists, and the US credit research team, including travel and expense reporting, Track and report on the economist team’s output and business impact (working with our business manager), Organize economics-led events and seminars at 55 Water including our academic interactions and client/stakeholder meetings both internal and external; Liaise with counterparts on stakeholder teams across SPGI; v) keep everyone on the team connected and informed; Serve as the Secretariat for the SPGI Velo Cycling Club. The Team/Stakeholders: Global Chief Economist, Business Managers, US and EM Chief Economists, US-based Senior Credit Researchers, Communications, Investor Relations and Digital Teams, C-suite. Travel and Meeting Scheduling Support the Global, US and EM Chief Economists in their travel planning, including pro-actively discuss pre-trip issues. Support the US-based Senior Credit Researchers in their travel planning, including pro-actively discuss pre-trip issues. Book air travel and hotels on Egencia as needed. Ensure any visa and passport issues are covered. Maintain and update research and economics joint team calendars. Expenses Prepare expense reports for the Global, US and EM Chief Economists on a timely basis. Prepare expense reports for the US-based Senior Credit Researchers on a timely basis. Work with the Chief Economists on tracking budgetary performance throughout the year. Troubleshoot any expense/reporting issues. Subscription management Manage all economics team subscriptions to media, events, professional associations, etc. Ensure time payments to avoid lapses in service and maintain all passwords and other documentation. Balance of senior economics team Liaise with regional EA/AA counterparts (in Hong Kong/Singapore and London/Frankfurt) to ensure smooth administrative operation and information flows across the global team. Maintain a travel and event schedule of all regional chief economists. Manage monthly macro briefing reports to C-Suite. Team Tracking and Reporting Business Impact Economics Hub page Own and pro-actively manage the Economics Hub page on Sphere, working with a (rotating) junior economist to ensure team connectivity. Ensure that documents, conferences and events, news items, etc. are all updated on the Hub in a timely manner. Track the metrics on the Hub page and prepare reports to be sent to S&P Global Ratings senior management and other internal stakeholders Work with communications team to ensure the economics team and Hub page are getting the appropriate coverage internally. Extracurricular: work on developing the new Sphere site for Velo, the SPGI Cycling Community – Wellness page Social Media Build a strong working relationship with the communications and digital teams to learn and implement social media concepts and strategies. Monitor and record LinkedIn/other social media activity of senior economics staff. Prepare quarterly reports on high-level social media stats for the team. Weekly LinkedIn Newsletter – weekly team meeting to discuss/confirm weekly articles to capture/Image for the week. Proofread draft posts. Currently over 23,000 subscribers. Salesforce/Dashboard Record call reports and contact details in Salesforce (metrics). Populate the monthly dashboard to ensure proper tracking of business contribution. Present these findings and achievements to the team. Academic Interaction Academic Council. Working with the Chief Economist and the Methodologies team, manage the calendar, communication (to participants) and all event logistics. Other Seminars – handle reservations, communications and all event logistics including securing rooms, technology, food, and beverage, etc. Ratings Monthly Seminar Series (very popular) –Manage honorarium payments to academic speakers via internal KOFAX-CDR, books orders when applicable, calendaring of event, etc. Track and report learning metrics from Tableau. Project/Event Coordination Support the Global, US and EM Chief Economists in coordinating and executing on Economist related projects, including quarterly briefing to CEO, internal town halls, etc. Pro-actively identify projects and action items arising from team meetings/huddle. Work with other teams/divisions to ensure project execution. Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates) S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $90,000.00 to $105,000.00. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications. Basic Required Qualifications: A minimum of 8 to 10 years of administrative experience, ideally in a multinational corporate setting preferred. Expert with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel). Proficient with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and other virtual platforms, Concur and Saleforce Experience preparing & proofreading documentation Basic knowledge role of economics in the business. Advanced knowledge (or willingness to learn) of Salesforce, Amplify, Tableau. Preferred Qualifications: Website creation and management Data visualization Basic statistics and data reporting skills.
