Join The Doe Fund on our mission to break the cycles of homelessness, addiction, and recidivism. Our flagship Ready, Willing & Able (RWA) program provides paid transitional work experience, transitional housing, advanced occupational training, and comprehensive supportive services to individuals experiencing homelessness. The Doe Fund is also one of New York City’s largest nonprofit developers of permanent affordable and supportive housing, with more than 1,900 units in operation or pre-development. The Doe Fund has an annual operating budget of $73 million and a full-time staff of nearly 500, a significant portion of whom are graduates of our programs.

We are presently looking for an Administrative Assistant to join the Doe Fund family. This position will be based out of our Muller Residence. The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for the clerical and administrative duties at the residence.

Key Responsibilities:

Answer and screen phone calls; take accurate messages Welcome all guests to The Doe Fund Filing (electronic / hardcopy), photocopying & scanning Handle confidential information appropriately Complete required reports Ensure that the Trainee payroll is submitted weekly as per the deadline  Perform other duties as assigned

The Ideal Candidate:

You have great interpersonal/organizational skills You are proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Adobe Acrobat You are highly organized, able to set and follow priorities, flexible in adjusting to changing work needs, and capable of working quickly You are a self-starter and a team player with excellent follow through You are able to work in a team environment

The hourly rate for this position is up to $18.67.
