This person will serve as the first point of contact for veterans, their families and funeral directors. Duties include but not limited to: + Receive requests and prepare responses for information related to internment eligibility, benefits, committal services and internment options. + Research applicable regulations and laws as well as discharge and marriage certificates to determine eligibility. + Enter information in database, send confirmation and make calendar entry for IVC calendar system. + Contact military branches for funeral honors. + Prepare family packet and temporary marker. + Facilitate committal service by coordinating with funeral director, military honor guard, VSO and family members to ensure professional escort and conduct of the service. + Assist with accounting for revenue and expense receipts + Assist with ordering needed supplies. + Information Technology and Office Automation experience is a plus.
