Construction Program summary:
The Diplomatic Platform Support Services (DiPSS) works in support of the Department of State to provide medical support services. The primary scope of this program is to execute medical support services at the United States Embassy and adjacent facilities in the Middle East.
Position summary:We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Biomedical Equipment Technician to inspect, maintain, and repair a wide range of medical devices and systems. This role is critical to ensuring the safety, functionality, and reliability of equipment used in patient care across various clinical settings.
Responsibilities: Serve as client point of contact regarding UDS concerns. Manage UDS schedule specifically on updates with additional donors and cancellations. Respond to donors and process prescriptions. File UDS scanned Rapid/COC forms. Upload donors' data for processing specimen results. Act as MRO point of contact between donors. Submit prescription Rapid/COC forms to MRO. Notify client on DER and assist with non-negative medical review. Deliver specimen results. Prepare end of the month collection report. Perform routine logistical support tasks such as receiving material and routing it to a responsible party. Coordinate and implement office services, interpret and communicate operating policies. Analyze health unit operating practices such as record keeping systems, forms control, office layout, and create new systems or revise established procedures. Locate and compile information and format reports, graphs, tables, records, and other sources of information using Excel. Assemble and categorize facts and figures for written computation and calculations. Use various software applications, such as spreadsheets, to manipulate and/or format data and/or reports. Identify "close calls" and/or safety concerns to supervisory personnel. Review and answer correspondence. Coordinate collection and preparation of operating reports such as time and attendance, terminations, and budget expenditures. Answer calls, schedule appointments, greet patients, and organize files. Update and maintain patient charts. Monitor radio communication and internet communication. Assist with managing the day-to-day activities and prioritizing tasks. Attend and participate in a variety of meetings and task force groups to improve quality and outcomes, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems, and maintain specific knowledge pertaining to new developments, new task efforts, and new policy requirements. Comply with all applicable standards and guidelines. Operate personal computer to access e-mail, electronic calendars, and other basic office support software. Prepare administrative correspondence and reports as required. Other duties as assigned. Basic qualifications: Minimum of 3 years work experience in administration field. Some medical administration experience preferred. Experience working with unit operating practices, such as record keeping systems. Ability to work both independently and positively within a team environment maintaining professionalism. Proficiency with computer and common office equipment, as well as with MS Office products required. Ability to adapt to sudden changes and flexibility in work requirements to include potential shift changes based on operational needs and/or command priorities. Strong problem-solving skills to research and resolve inquiries and respond in a timely manner. Ability to work well with senior management and across functions to achieve business objectives. Self-starter who is action oriented and possesses a strong sense of urgency. Preferred qualifications: Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
