Administrative Assistant
Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an Administrative Assistant based in TULLY, New York. The job function lies within the Wholesale Distribution industry, where the individual will be expected to handle a variety of administrative tasks. This role demands a professional with strong organizational skills and a knack for effective communication. Responsibilities: • Serve as a communication link between the Director Operations, District Managers, and store personnel, ensuring smooth workflow. • Carry out necessary tasks communicated to store personnel and oversee any required follow-up processes. • Generate reports as required to assist in management decision-making. • Promptly address and work towards resolving operational customer complaints. • Provide comprehensive administrative and general office support to the Director Operations, District Managers, store personnel, and other divisional management. • Assist in ordering store office supplies, uniforms, and store equipment as directed. • Maintain an efficient and well-organized filing system for the department and oversee archiving and disposal of items as per company guidelines. • Proactively identify, investigate, and report any irregularities within the designated area of responsibility. • Conduct training and cross-training sessions to share knowledge and expertise within the area of responsibility. • Act as a backup assistant, as designated by the leader, to ensure proper coverage of necessary responsibilities. • Cooperate with external suppliers and service companies to exchange information and maintain a successful partnership. • Uphold the security and confidentiality of documents and data within area of responsibility. • Collaborate with team members and communicate relevant information to the direct leader. Requirements • Minimum of 1-year experience in an administrative role within the wholesale distribution industry • Proficiency in data entry tasks • Previous experience in an administrative office setting • Demonstrated skills in MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint • Fast and accurate typing skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong organizational and time management skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • High-level attention to detail and accuracy • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively • High school diploma or equivalent required, higher education or certifications a plus.
