Position Type: Full-TimePay Rate: $25/hrOur Client:Our client is the New York State Office of General Services (OGS) and they are seeking an Administrative Assistant for one of their teams. This is a temporary position (W2 Only) in New York, NY. This is an excellent opportunity for the right individual. The contract is expected to last 1 year with a pay rate of $25/hr. This is an in-office role, so you must be commutable to New York. Veterans are strongly encouraged to apply.Key Responsibilities:Document Handling: Operate office equipment such as printers, scanners, and computers to assist with the daily tasks of the Managing Attorney's Office. Accept service of documentation at the MAO window.Case Management: Open and close cases using various software programs such as NYMatters, Access, Microsoft Office, and CourtAlert.Court Deliveries and Filing: Make court runs within the 5 boroughs to deliver, file, or retrieve documents. Contact courts across the state to obtain case information.Staff Support: Advise OAG staff on questions regarding filings, service to the courts, and procedures for working with United Lawyers Service. Forward CourtAlert notices to the appropriate staff members.eFax Monitoring: Regularly monitor the eFax mailbox and ensure documents are sent to the relevant Bureau.Public Assistance: Answer general telephone inquiries from the public (no legal advice) and assist individuals filing complaints.Interdepartmental Tasks: Perform various other administrative duties as assigned by the office.Qualifications:Skills: Proficient in using printers, scanners, and computers.Software: Familiarity with NYMatters, Access, Microsoft Office, and CourtAlert is a plus.Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with courts, staff, and the public.Organization: Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities efficiently.Preferred Education:High School Diploma or equivalent required.Travel:Limited travel may be required to courts within the 5 boroughs.
