Our client, a public housing authority, is seeking an Office Assistant to join their team in Albany, NY. This role involves performing administrative and clerical tasks to support departmental operations, tenant services, and housing programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain records, files, and compile reports and data.Sort, index, and file mail, requisitions, bills, and other documents.Assist tenants with applications and lease agreements.Support rent dispute resolution by reviewing tenant payment history.Attend and document court hearings regarding tenant disputes.Schedule and coordinate Section 8 and public housing inspections.Contact landlords to arrange inspections and notify tenants of appointments.Maintain various databases, including tenant parking permits and contractor insurance records.Provide clerical support for vendor bidding and contract awarding.Assist with personnel records, payroll, and worker’s compensation forms.Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and act as receptionist.Utilize computer applications such as spreadsheets, word processing, and databases.Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to interact professionally with tenants, landlords, and supervisory staff.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).Pay & Schedule:
Pay Rate: $19.00 – $22.00 per hourSchedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
