Employment Terms: This job is a full time, benefited, FLSA non-exempt position that reports to the Dean of Public and Professional Services.
Salary : Targeted salary is commensurate with education and experience not to exceed the budgeted amount of $43,160 per year.
Schedule: 40 hours per week. Monday through Thursday 8:00am โ 5:00pm and Friday 8:00am โ 4:00pm. This is an on-campus position that reports to the Lawrenceville Campus. May occasionally be required to work at the Alpharetta North-Fulton Campus.
Minimum Qualifications (Job Code 61804):
Associateโs degree in Business Administrative Technology and One (1) year of work related experience OR High school diploma *and* Two (2) years related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to applicants who have held an Administrative Support position within an academic setting; Computer proficiency (Word, Excel and PowerPoint required); proficiency in BANNER; Experience in personnel, accounting and/or purchasing, travel, event arrangements and communications, vendor relations, managing calendars, meeting minutes, updating bulletin boards, and program maintenance. Must possess excellent knowledge and experience in the use of advanced computer skills and resources such as Internet and research skills, Google Docs, E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Access. Self-starter, excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work under pressure in an empathetic and professional manner; ability to multi-task and meet deadlines, problem solve, and maintain effective relationships with multi-level personnel and customers. Sensitivity to confidential matters will be required

Job Description Summary:
Under general supervision of senior management, performs advanced and diversified secretarial/clerical duties requiring broad and comprehensive experience, skill and knowledge of organization policies and procedures in support of the department. Completes administrative tasks and special projects as requested not limited to the areas of personnel, budgeting and management of records. May provide assistance in purchasing and accounting tasks. May be cross-trained in various assignments related to the operation of the department.

Perform general office procedures to include processing of forms, answering of telephone, copier usage, and procedures that lead to efficiency and effectiveness of the office.

Assist in providing a variety of administrative and clerical support functions to facilitate the workflow of the Public and Professional Services Division, adjuncts, advisory board, and students

Support in the areas of course scheduling, faculty evaluation, room assignments, student registration, orientation, educational research and data collection, special projects, and general administrative support
