Corning’s Values are operationalized by the HR Function through the facilitation of Talent Management offerings, as well as programs and processes that aid in making Corning’s Values visible. **Role Purpose** The Administrative Assistant position provides administrative support to the Director, Employee Benefits and Wellbeing and the management staff within the department. The ideal candidate will perform day to day administrative duties, as well as handle and maintain confidential matters. They will assist with structure and organization of activities for the Director to facilitate the efficient operation of the department. Possibility of transitioning to assist within the Global Compensation & Benefits team as needed. **Key Responsibilities** + Calendar management for Director and assist with department calendars + Manages complex calendaring alignment between Corning and outside vendors + Handles travel including corporate shuttle, domestic flights, hotels, ground transportation, meals, detailed itineraries + Manage logistics for vendor visits, reserve conference rooms including all meeting logistics + Coordinate and support Director department meetings in collaboration with team members + Assists director and staff on distribution of proprietary / restricted / confidential documents + Act as an information source for department Share Drives, SharePoint sites, policies and procedures + Recommend changes in methods or procedures and assist with development of new or revised policies related to usage + Manages and process expense reports using Concur + Supports team with special projects + Coordinate event Planning: Offsite vendor meetings, department events, recognition, team building + DARM facilitator for the department + Ordering supplies through eProcurement + Administrative coverage and back up for other departments + Work closely with HR administrative team **Experiences/Education - Required** + Minimum 3-5 years as an Administrative Assistant or equivalent work experience + Professionalism: Handles confidential information and ability to use sound judgment. Must be accessible, dependable, and reliable. + Strategic Thinking: Proactive, demonstrates ability to take the lead and influence the outcome. Makes confident and independent decisions and reprioritize when appropriate + Time Management: Strong organization skills. Detailed oriented; able to multitask and prioritize tasks + Relationship management: Works well within all levels of the organization, works effectively as an individual, as well as a team player + Exceptional verbal and written communications skills + Working knowledge of Concur, MS Teams and SharePoint (internal Corning systems), Excel, Word and PowerPoint **Experiences/Education - Desired** + Prior experience with Corning Incorporated preferred + Consistency and continuity of performance **This position does not support immigration sponsorship.** The range for this position is $60,570.00 - $83,285.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
