The **Mission Enabling Products Business Unit** of the **Payload and Ground Systems Division** is seeking to fill a **VP Administrative Assistant** position in our Linthicum, MD location. The selected candidate will provide direct assistance to the Vice President of the Mission Enabling Products Business Unit (MEP BU). This position may require travel as needed.

**Overview**

**Role and Responsibilities:**
The Administrative Assistant to the VP communicates with enterprise-wide partners, executives, administrative and line management employees. This position requires the individual to perform advanced administrative duties with exposure to sensitive information requiring tact, diplomacy, discretion and judgment. Strong project management skills, emotional intelligence, and integrity are essential in this role. In addition, the candidate must be comfortable working in a high energy, collaborative, diverse, and professional environment.
The selected candidate must have the ability to support and coordinate the VP’s time (meetings, schedule, and deliverables) as directed through independent initiative. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for:
+ Preparing and releasing a variety of complex communications and documents which affect the business area
+ Designing and maintaining procedures to include appropriate access to confidential information
+ Preparing and adjusting travel arrangements, and completing timely expense reports
+ Generally acting and making decisions in alignment with the VP’s leadership style
In addition, the assistant will be called upon to provide support for key direct and dotted-line reports within the respective organization. This may include various special projects, such as security and/or facilities coordination, organization of events, etc.
The successful candidate must be reliable, resourceful and work accurately and independently. They must have the ability to anticipate, initiate and follow through with all work requirements, and work extended hours as needed.
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ High school diploma with a minimum of eight years’ additional education and/or experience in the professional administrative field or a Bachelor's degree with four years' experience in the professional administrative field
+ Advanced computer skills with expertise in Microsoft Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel) and intranet/internet proficiency
+ Experience managing executive calendars
+ Experience with making travel arrangements, booking through Concur, and completing expense reports
+ Prior experience coordinating both on and off-site meetings and/or events, and processing visitor requests
+ Must be proactive, highly motivated, collaborative and adaptable, with excellent organizational skills including the ability to handle multiple tasks, changing needs, and competing priorities
+ Strong oral and written communication skills
+ Must be able to interface with executive level internal and external contacts with considerable autonomy and professionalism
+ US Citizenship is required
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Experience with Northrop Grumman Concur software, travel, and expense systems and policies
+ Ability to swiftly adapt to new tools/technologies to drive efficiency and organization across the global team
+ Experience participating in and hosting in-person and remote Video Teleconference meetings (i.e. Zoom, Teams, etc.)
Salary Range: $76,800.00 - $128,000.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
