Summary
Summary: This position provides direct administrative support to the Department of Medicine Director, Department of Medicine and Medical Director of the Hospitalist program. Performs a variety of administrative, secretarial, and clerical duties for Department administration and Departmental Medical Director leadership. Handles all scheduling, communication, and general administrative and programmatic functions. The position supports Departmental projects and assignments associated with key organizational and program initiatives Tasks Include but Are Not Limited to: Researches, gathers, interprets, and maintains data needed to develop correspondence and reports. Prepares statistical reports using spreadsheet or database software. Updates, generates, types, and proofs all forms for accuracy and appropriate format. Schedules appointments and maintains calendars for assigned Directors, Administrators, etc. Coordinates meetings by scheduling, securing room locations, sending reminders, and placing catering orders, as requested, for departmental and other meetings. Works collaboratively with staff in other departments for scheduling. Completes meeting minutes in an accurate and timely manner and distributes as required.
