Office of Mineral Resources – Mineral Income Division
The Office of Mineral Resources (OMR) was established to manage the state’s mineral assets in granting and administering leases on state-owned lands and water bottoms for developing and producing, primarily oil and gas, as a means of revenue in the form of royalties, bonuses, and rentals to the state’s general fund.
The Mineral Income Division works closely with the State Mineral and Energy Board's (Board) audit section. This Division performs collection and accounting of revenue due the State from mineral leasing activity and production on State-owned lands and water bottoms on behalf of the Board.
LOCATION AND POSITION:
This Administrative Coordinator 1 position is located in the Mineral Income Division within the Office of Mineral Resources in Baton Rouge, LA. The incumbent in this position reports to an Auditor 4 and provides support to efficiently perform daily operations of the Office of Mineral Resources (OMR) and help productivity of the office’s duties and delegations. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
+ Pick up mail daily, stamp and sort.
+ Create, mail and distribute letter copies promptly and efficiently.
+ Answer front desk phone and direct calls as necessary.
+ Receive and direct guests to the office.
+ Receive, distribute, and sort packages.
+ Scan files and documents.
+ Filing as needed.
+ Run errands as needed.
+ Lift and move equipment as needed.
+ Works on any special projects staff may delegate.
+ Performs additional duties as assigned.

This vacancy is being announced as a part-time classified WAE and is open to all qualified applicants.
NOTE: This part-time position is not eligible for benefits or paid holidays, and has a limit to the number of hours worked (maximum of 1245 hours) in a 12 month period, beginning with the first day of employment. The hours belong to the employee and any available hours follow the employee.
