About the Position:
Position functions as a Clerk within District 03’s Business Office in the District 03 Stockroom. Incumbent must be self-motivated and able to perform duties independently with little to no supervision on a regular basis. The incumbent is also expected to exercise a high degree of independent judgement and initiative in determining the approach/action to take in non-routine situations that may arise. The incumbent must possess extensive knowledge of DOTD purchasing and specifications in order to accurately process, report, and document all Stockroom activities accomplished. Participates in DOTD structured training programs as appropriate and attends all continuing education classes and conferences deemed necessary to facilitate the performance of required tasks.

Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Three years of experience or training in clerical work.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.

Examples of Work
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
70% Stockroom Inventory:
Issues stock items in accordance with District needs. Prepares specialized and complex reports, using independent judgement to assist the ADA Business in compiling District Stockroom data. Reorders and stocks items while ensuring that all items meet required specifications. Works with vendors to place and receive orders. Maintains accurate inventory records. Places orders using Louisiana Purchase Card for approved items. Completes, submits, and maintains accurate Louisiana Purchase reports. Travels once per week to DOTD Headquarters to drop off and pick up District items. Properly enters and helps to maintain vehicle logs.
25% SAP, LAGOV Responsibilities:
Prepares Shopping Carts Requisitions in SRM when ordering stockroom supplies. Enter, charge out, and transfers stockroom items utilizing SAP transactions including but not limited to MIGO, ME23N, MB5B, MB90, ZLO1503, ZLO1269, and MB21.
5% Other Related Duties:
May be required to cover the Switchboard. May be required to perform other duties as necessary including, but not limited to, emergency/disaster support activities
