Administrative Coordinator

The Administrative Coordinator is a key member of the Dietrich School Undergraduate Studies/College of General Studies team. Provides professional administrative support to the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Studies and the College of General Studies, Assistant Deans for Undergraduate Studies, as well as other members of the Associate Dean’s senior leadership team. Staffs Dietrich School Undergraduate Council and the College of General Studies Council by coordinating student membership with Student Government Board and CGS Student Government, scheduling meetings, communicating with academic departments, assembling and distributing proposals, taking minutes, and coordinating with Dean’s Office staff to ensure that materials are appropriately submitted to the Provost’s Advisory Committee on Undergraduate Programs (PACUP). Ensures the accuracy of undergraduate academic information in University, School, and College systems and materials. Collaborates with the Office of the University Registrar, Center for Teaching and Learning, Dietrich School departments and programs, and other undergraduate schools on the Pittsburgh campus.

Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in support of a diverse community are required. The successful candidate will be highly organized, attentive to detail, skilled in time management, comfortable learning, and using different technologies. Candidate must have the ability to think critically, work independently, and maintain confidentiality.

Incumbent must be capable of oral and written communication, be able to talk on the telephone, be able to use a computer and keyboard, and be able to use videocommunication technology (Zoom, Teams, etc.). Incumbent must be able to engage in conversations involving sensitive topics with discretion and care.
