Summary of Job Duties:The Administrative Coordinator will provide administrative support for the Department of Pediatrics Cardiology Transplant section. The position will report to the Pediatric Cardiology Office Manager and provide assistance in planning, event coordination, purchasing, scheduling, and more.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree plus two (2) years of general administrative office support experience or

Associates degree plus four (4) years of general administrative office support experience or

High School Diploma/GED plus six (6) years of general administrative office support experience required.

Knowledge, Skill & Abilities:

Detail-oriented and organized.

Excellent interpersonal skills.

Strong problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and interdependently.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Ability to work under deadline pressure.

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.


Additional Information:

Responsibilities:

Coordinates office activities with the office manager and other professional staff within and outside assigned unit.

Assists with updating the system that is used for Cardiology scheduling and submits clinic modifications to ACH to communicate changes to physician schedules.

Maintains UAMS monthly on-call physician schedules and communicates the call schedule with ACH Kid First group. 

Gathers information for credentialing for the Pediatric Cardiology Faculty.

Oversees completion of the Time and Effort forms for the Pediatric Cardiology section.

Updates Pediatric Cardiology faculty profiles on the UAMS website.

Enters requisitions/travel in Workday for Pediatric Cardiology faculty physicians.

Manages IT inventory in the Pediatric Cardiology Sections.

Assists with didactic meetings and organizing meetings for residents.

Requests privileges for department access to various programs and folders for faculty.

Performs other duties as assigned.
