**POSITION DETAILS**
Reporting to the Director of the Learning Commons, the Administrative Coordinator plays a pivotal role, helping support the unit's daily operations and special projects. This position is integral to the development and implementation of strategies designed to foster academic success and persistence. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
+ Coordinate all departmental logistics, including timetabling, space allocation, and communication across various platforms.
+ Organize workshops, professional development sessions, and other academic resources to equip students with necessary skills for course success, contributing to improved student retention.
+ Liaise with administration and faculty to help develop and maintain various programs and projects supporting student engagement.
+ Assist in the administration of department-wide programming, including intensive bridge workshops, recitations, and review sessions aimed at enhancing student retention rates.
+ Assist in hiring, supervising, troubleshooting, and scheduling students and part-time staff to ensure effective support for student needs.
+ Administer timekeeping processes for part-time staff and ensure accurate record-keeping for payroll purposes.
+ Manage communications to increase awareness and utilization of all departmental services, enhancing student retention by promoting available resources.
+ Assist in maintaining departmental fiscal plans and budgets.
+ Aid in budget administration and invoice processing to ensure efficient use of resources that support student retention initiatives.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
Bachelor’s degree required
Preferred QUALIFICATIONS
+ Strong teamwork and communication skills
+ Experience in budget management
+ Strong organizational and time management skills
+ Proficiency in software, including the Microsoft Office suite, team collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams), and virtual meeting platforms (e.g., Zoom).

- Manages basic office functions such as communications, meeting schedules, work plans, staff assignments, and distributing information.

- Updates office databases, lists, and files to ensure completeness and accuracy; maintains current information on department web site(s); maintains department archives and collections.
- Conducts internet and/or database research and performs basic systems queries to locate information related to department activities.
- Maintains department fiscal plans and budgets; assists in budget administration and invoice processing.
- Provides basic information, instructions, and materials as requested by students, faculty, and others who contact the department.
- May supervise office staff and student workers.
- Performs related duties as assigned.

Range: $57,517 - $65,946
