The Administrative Coordinator for Research position in the McCourt School of Public Policy supports all McCourt research faculty and staff in all campus locations. Primarily, the position maintains the day-to-day operations and administration of the McCourt Research Enterprise for the Capitol Campus as well as provides support for research faculty and staff in other locations in DC and beyond. The position creates a professional office environment and coordinates, oversees, and/or performs a wide variety of administrative and program support activities on behalf of the Office of the Dean and in coordination with the Research Support Services Team at McCourt. This individual serves as the initial point of operational and administrative contact for internal and external constituencies for the McCourt research teams and works closely with the Directors and Managers for Research Administration to ensure that the Research Enterprise needs and activities are well-supported. Additional duties include but are not limited to:
Manage office operations including front desk duties, supply inventory, deliveries and mail.
Coordinate facility, environmental, and security services for the office suite.
Help develop and maintain onboarding procedures and protocols for all research faculty and staff.
Support the recruitment, hiring and timekeeping of grant-supported student workers.
Create and revise systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices
Work Interactions
The Administrative Coordinator for Research reports directly to the Operations and Special Projects Manager with a dotted line to the Director, Research Finance and Administration.. The position interacts with all faculty and staff for the McCourt Research Enterprise in the office and remote, as well as all external visitors to the suite. In support of office equipment and environment, interacts with university support services departments, such as facilities, environmental services, and mail rooms. The position is required to use independent judgment to help maintain a professional work environment.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience in an office environment.

Pay Range:
The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:
$19.20 - $28.70Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
