Farmingdale State College seeks an Administrative Coordinator for the Human Resources department.
Job Responsibilities:
+ Handle basic office duties, such as answering and routing phones, monitoring and responding to emails to the main HR email box, greeting and assisting visitors, and ordering office supplies.
+ Serve as the department Records Coordinator, organizing all files and tracking and following procedures for records retention.
+ Process all purchase order requests, pay departmental bills, and assist with obtaining quotes for purchases as required.
+ Monitor departmental budget.
+ Coordinate departmental calendars used for scheduling new hire appointments and employee schedules.
+ Make travel arrangements for work related conferences and submitting forms for reimbursement.
+ Assist with tracking of Professional employees probationary periods, sending timely notification for annual renewals.
+ Assist with the tracking and follow up on missing Performance Programs and Annual Evaluations for Professional employees.
+ Create mail merges to send out correspondence to employees for salary increases, write letters as needed.
Job Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Bachelor's Degree.
+ Experience using Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
+ Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
+ Ability to work with highly sensitive, confidential information.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Experience working as a student or staff member in an office setting.
+ Graduate of Farmingdale State College.
Additional Information:
This is a full-time UUP position.
+ For the first 10 working days, beginning Tuesday, January 7, 2025, and ending Tuesday, January 21, 2025, applications will be limited to UUP Farmingdale.
+ CLOSING DATE FOR RECEIPT OF APPLICATIONS: Wednesday, February 5, 2025
+ SALARY: $50,000 + $3,400 in downstate location pay = $53,400 Total Compensation.
