**POSITION DETAILS**
Brooklyn College solicits applications for an Administrative Coordinator in the Department of Television, Radio & Emerging Media (TREM). Reporting to the Chair, the Administrative Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of the main office and providing administrative support to the Chair and for a variety of departmental functions.
In addition to the CUNY Title Overview, duties include but are not limited to:
+ Serve as point person for the Departmental Office: answer phones, provide customer service to students and faculty that need assistance. Interface with other departmental and campus administrators as needed.
+ Maintain a shared departmental calendar that reflects college wide and department specific deadlines and events.
+ Collaborate with the Chair and Department personnel to prepare publicity and public information, including communications to students and faculty, use systems such as EAB Navigate for communications.
+ Prepare budget documents and process honorarium requests for guest speakers. Provide support with purchases; including entering requisitions and processing invoice receipts.
+ Coordinate and process all departmental hires including instructional adjuncts, non-teaching adjuncts, and college assistants.
+ Maintain faculty and staff personnel files, organizing and updating as needed.
+ Provide administrative support for departmental promotion and tenure processes.
+ Create and maintain administrative resources for a variety of information including contact lists, final exam schedules, adjunct budgets, faculty office hours, and course schedules. Coordinate the collection and archiving of course syllabi, equipment distribution and maintenance in a shared digital database.
+ Create and maintain workflow and file systems for various departmental processes including: staff timesheets, grade changes, teaching observations, equipment distribution, CA schedules and open labs.
+ Other duties as assigned
**QUALIFICATIONS**
Bachelor's Degree required.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Degree in TV, Radio, Media, Journalism, Media Studies, or Film, Preferred.
+ Candidates must be highly organized, detail oriented, and produce high quality work in a timely manner.
+ Must be able to work efficiently. Proficiency in MS Office, CUNY First preferred, ability to learn additional systems as required by CUNY workflows (EAB Navigate, CUNY Buy, CourseDog, etc).
+ Knowledge of media production workflows and technologies a big plus.

Supports projects, initiatives, and activities that impact an academic or administrative department.
- Manages basic office functions such as communications, meeting schedules, work plans, staff assignments, and distributing information.
- Collects data for, prepares, and distributes reports and presentations using word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.
- Updates office databases, lists, and files to ensure completeness and accuracy; maintains current information on department web site(s); maintains department archives and collections.
- Conducts internet and/or database research and performs basic systems queries to locate information related to department activities.
- Maintains department fiscal plans and budgets; assists in budget administration and invoice processing.
- Provides basic information, instructions, and materials as requested by students, faculty, and others who contact the department.
- May supervise office staff and student workers.
- Performs related duties as assigned.

$44,411 - $47,861; Salary commensurate with education and experience.
