Administrative Director Behavioral Health
Provides administrative oversight and leadership to the multi-modality programs of the Community Services Division including Adult Mental Health and Children’s Mental Health. Programs provide appropriate psychiatric out-patient care of the highest level in the most cost-efficient manner. Performs duties in support of the Medical Center mission to ensure the highest quality of patient care in an economically sound and efficient manner. Network with referral sources, County Office of Behavioral Health and the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services and Office of the Governor to provide grant opportunities for the community we serve. Serves as a Liaison to the Courts. Performs duties in support of the Medical Center mission to ensure the highest quality of patient care in an economically sound and efficient manner. Education and Training: Doctoral Degree in Social Sciences with two years related supervisory and/or administrative experience or, Master’s degree with License in Social Work, Counselor or Psychology with three years related supervisory and/or administrative experience Registration, Licensure and/or Certification: Appropriate professional mental health licensure/certification required; LCSW, LPC Valid Driver’s license Child Abuse Clearances per Act 33 Skills: Staff Development and Training Financial Planning and Budgeting Understanding of Profit and Loss Statements Access Community Resources Communication Computer Literacy Crisis Intervention with children and adults Interacting with 3rd Parties Interviewing Knowledge of Confidentiality Knowledge of MH and Substance Abuse Laws and Regulations Maintain logs Photocopying Problem Solving Psycho-Social Assessment Record Keeping and Charting Referral Supervisory Telephone counseling Write Legibly Word Processing Physical Demands and Sensory Requirements: Light physical effort: lift/carry up to 10 lbs.
