Job Description:Under the direction of designated staff, provides assistance to the department in various aspects to support the work of the department and the mission and goals of Essentia Health. Provides assistance on various projects within hired department.

Education Qualifications:

Summer Health Care Internship Program (SHCIP)

Must have completed your junior or senior year of high school in Minnesota and intend to complete graduation requirementsORMust be a post-secondary student enrolled in a Minnesota educational institution or be a resident of Minnesota enrolled in an out-of-state programPost-secondary students must be enrolled in a two or four year health care degree program with the intention of completing the program.

12 - week program, runs May - AugustBe involved in high - level meeting planning and facilitationCollaborate with Essentia Health leadership membersWork on a 3 - month long projectShadow different departments of interestLearn about hospital and clinic operationsPosition is based in Moose Lake but will have the opportunity to visit other clinics and sites
