ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST
Summary You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT SPECIALIST within NAVAL POSTGRADUATE SCHOOL. Responsibilities You will advise management and staff on labor processes and procedures. You will speak with academic institution representatives to maintain continuous communication. You will maintain and manage customer relationships and customer satisfaction to support operations. You will write statements justifying funding, manpower, or operations requirements. You will be responsible for the execution of business functions in a departmental operation. This is a bargaining unit position. You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal. This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-09 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Identifies administrative requirements such as providing training and guidance to departmental faculty and staff on NPS labor processes and procedures; 2) Plans meetings, prioritizes schedules, and/or maintains department rosters; 3) Maintains accurate financial transaction records in the Navy official timekeeping system; 4) Prepare financial status reports of education and research programs ; 5) Experience using FASTDATA, KFS, DTS, SLDCADA to input data. GS-07 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Assists in identifying administrative requirements such as providing training and guidance to departmental faculty and staff on NPS labor processes and procedures; 2) Aides in planning meetings, prioritizing schedules, and/or maintaining department rosters; 3) Maintains accurate financial transaction records in the Navy official timekeeping system; 4) Prepare financial status reports of education and research programs; 5) Knowledge of FASTDATA, KFS, DTS, SLDCADA systems.
