The OHSU Knight Cancer Institute is a pioneer in personalized cancer treatment and research, led by Dr. Brian Druker, whose development of Gleevec transformed Chronic Myeloid Leukemia from a fatal disease to a manageable one and proved that targeted therapies can work. This position will provide strategic project management, development, and planning for the Knight Cancer Institute.
The Administrative Manager is essential in maintaining an effectively functioning department and fosters positive inter- and intra-departmental relationships. This position also fosters professional development and teambuilding across the Knight administrative community. This position will also act as lead on a variety of projects at the direction of Knight leadership.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Working with faculty and Knight leadership to coordinate administrative resourcingManagement of 25 administrative employees, including hiring and training of new staffCreating complex, high-quality materials for comprehensive project development and managementData analysis for general operations, quality improvement, and professional development activitiesFacilitating, leading, reporting out, and delivering strategic planning activities for large, complex, and mission-critical strategic committees and initiatives. Required Qualifications
Education & experience:
Bachelor’s DegreeFive years of supervisory or lead experience working in a University or Hospital settingExperience administering staff evaluationsExperience hiring and training new staffExperience with explaining and disseminating policies and procedures.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
