Summary
The Administrative Residency is a preceptor-directed program, designed to nurture independence and
immersive experiences to prepare recent graduates for essential management and leadership roles
within the health care industry. The goal of the program is to:
1) Promote leadership competency development through a wide array of practical experiences;
2) Support the long-term leadership needs of the Cancer Center, serving as a talent pipeline, and to align
the interests and opportunities of each Resident;
3) Increase the Resident’s readiness to be considered for a full-time position at the end of the 12-month
residency.

Minimum Experience Required
Moffitt’s Administrative Residency is a 1-year, direct entry, early-career training program that begins
immediately upon completion of a healthcare-related graduate degree. Qualified applicants must have a
Master’s degree (MBA Healthcare Concentration/MHA) or equivalent course work completed from a US
based university.
