Allweather Wood (AWW) is looking for an experienced Administrative Sales Assistant to join our Inside Sales team to work with us at our Washougal, WA sales office.
The main focus of the Administrative Sales Assistant is to provide administrative services and staff support to the sales team by relieving clerical work and minor administrative detail.
The hourly rate for this position is $23.00-$25.00 depending on experience. This position includes full benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K matching and life insurance.
Allweather Wood is the largest producer and distributor of waterborne preservative treated wood products in the Western USA. Operating six wood preserving plants in California, Colorado, Oregon, Utah, and Washington, these state-of-the-art facilities enable year-round production of a variety of preservative systems, fire retardants and wood species, including Douglas-fir, Hem fir, and Southern Yellow Pine. With support from two full-service distribution centers in California, Allweather Wood partners with home improvement retailers, lumberyards, and building material dealers to bring a full range of preservative and fire-retardant lumber and plywood products to market.
Responsibilities Provide daily administrative support including; greeting visitors, receiving and making deliveries, arrange conference calls, make appointments, organize customer events, arrange and coordinate travel schedulesAnswer and direct telephone calls with a strong focus on customer service and problem resolution including answering customer questions on order confirmations, order changes, and billingCreating and improving Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)Enter and process sales orders in Lumber Track Inventory Sales System and coordinate with shipping and production on tags, outs, and delivery. File sales orders after shipmentAct as a liaison between customers, sales team and other departments within the organization to ensure complete customer satisfactionCommunicate order status and order issues to the sales team and other members of the organization as neededProcess all intercompany and external mail daily (including retrieval to/from post office as needed); Route incoming mail accordingly; Prepare outgoing mail including email and faxes as appropriate;Order and maintain sales and office supplies and arrange for equipment maintenance as directedCompose, type and maintain routine correspondence and make photocopies of printed materialsServe as a key point of contact and resource for the sales teamFacilitate the proper handling and approval of customer documentsAssist in quarterly and year end data presentations with program customersOrganize and maintain accurate customer file systems and file correspondence; retrieve data and other records upon request Qualifications High school diploma or GEDMinimum of two years of related experience preferredMust maintain and carry a valid driver license and remain eligible and capable of operating company vehicles including automobiles and trucks in accordance with company policy guidelinesTo perform this position successfully, an individual should have intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point. MS Access and Power BI experience is a plus Ability to write routine reports and correspondence Ability to speak and communicate effectively before groups of customers or employees of organizationFamiliarity with lumber terminology and lumber calculation is a plus
