Administrative Secretary

This is an onsite position.

We are looking for our next amazing team member to join our dynamic Emergency Department team at Corewell Health as an Administrative Secretary where attention to detail and self-motivation are key!

As the Administrative Secretary you will play a crucial role in supporting our leadership and ensuring smooth office operations. As the go-to person for managing payroll for 250 dedicated staff members, your attention to detail will be crucial in verifying timecards and maintaining accuracy. Beyond payroll, you will assist with various office needs including ordering and organizing, assisting with departmental initiatives, setting up meetings and taking minutes, and many other tasks as they arise. If you're an upbeat, self-directed individual with a strong eye for detail and expertise in Microsoft Excel, spreadsheets, and tables, we would love to hear from you! Job Summary

Provides administrative support for a Managerial level position through the appropriate use of software/other tools and performs and coordinates a variety of projects.

Essential Functions

Utilizes the appropriate software application to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of office workload.Greets and communicates in a manner consistent with caring and respect, and follows established policies for confidentiality. Answers telephone, takes messages, welcomes visitors and provides/relays information in a manner consistent with hospitality standards.Composes standard documents and independently formats, types and proofreads correspondence, memos, reports, charts, statistics, meeting minutes, newsletters, etc.Performs/coordinates basic office duties such as sorting/distributing mail, copying, filing, faxing, completing forms, and ordering/maintaining equipment/supplies.Maintains schedule/daily calendar for Manager/staff members/rooms/equipment, as appropriate, making independent judgments based on identified criteria. Arranges for meetings and makes travel/conference arrangements as needed.Collects, compiles and prepares data for analysis and develops systems that facilitate tracking of data.Maintains accountability for completion of assigned projects.

Qualifications

Required

Associate's Degree or equivalent office administration or secretarial science2 years of relevant experience in Secretarial or administrative support, clerical, project management, public education, or program planning and implementation
